Gower Street was proud to be invited to partner with the UK Film Distributor’s Association on their FDA Yearbook 2020.

The first edition of the annual publication under the tenure of new CEO Andy Leyshon, the 2020 Yearbook covered all the major news and trends of the past year in the UK distribution sector. It also looked back at market trends across the past decade.

Using data from Comscore, a long-running and continuing partner of the FDA on the Yearbook, Gower Street provided a variety of new visual content. These included bespoke graphics on the changing proportion of UK box office attributed to films by yearly ranking over the past 10 years; and international 5-year box office trends by market for US/Canada, China, Mexico, Germany, and Australia (see sample pages below).

A must-have reference guide, the FDA Yearbook 2020 had its official launch on Wednesday February 26 at London’s Royal Institute of British Architects. Hosted by BBC television journalist Clive Myrie, the event was attended by key players from across the UK film industry, including many of Gower Street’s UK clients. Gower Street was well represented at the event with CEO Dimitrios Mitsinikos, Director of Theatrical Insights Rob Mitchell, Research Analyst Jamie Tonks, and Director of Client Relations Jamie Vivian all in attendance.
