Gower Street has once again seen a lot of media exposure throughout September. CEO Dimitrios Mitsinikos took part in a Live Lounge session at the annual UK Distributor Slate Days, which was picked up by Screendaily; Chief Analyst, Theatrical Insights Thomas Beranek and Senior Box Office Analyst Delphine Lievens were both interviewed for articles, in S&P Global and the UK’s Guardian newspaper respectively. Delphine’s interview was also quoted in Digital Spy.
There was continued focus on China’s recovery with Gower Street research and reporting discussed in The Hollywood Reporter and on CNN Business. Further publications in China, Hong Kong, Spain and Italy, as well as other outlets across the US, also picked this up.
Other coverage, mostly referencing the global cinema recovery and global box office tracking estimates featured in our Road To Recovery reports and in our online articles, has appeared in Variety and other publications in the US, UK, Spain and Brazil. Many of these focused on our Sept. 7 article on August’s $1bn global box office.
Outside of the print media articles listed below, our Director of Theatrical Insights, Rob Mitchell, also took part in Celluloid Junkie’s #CJCinemaSummit on Sept. 3 and the Showbiz Sandbox podcast #509 (published Sept. 8). Among a number of subjects he discussed how Gower Street developed its recovery measures, the Blueprint To Recovery; TENET-fueled recovery; the success of China and how other markets have progressed on their own roads to recovery; and how Gower Street worked with the producers of Spanish hit FATHER THERE IS ONLY ONE 2 on their release planning.
Here we collect all the articles together: interviews, profiles, and mentions.
